Aquafitness: Group exercise session in the pool which incorporates strength, balance and cardio exercises to promote overall fitness and conditioning. Suitable for individuals who enjoy water based activity and want a low impact alternative to land exercise.
Pelvic Floor Class: A class designed to improve pelvic floor strength and endurance for your bladder and bowel control, as well as improving your whole core. This class tries to make boring exercises interesting!
Hydrotherapy: Development and supervision of individual exercise programs for specific injuries/conditions, performed in the warm hydrotherapy pool, and monitored by a physiotherapist. Held at the Launceston Aquatic Centre.
Strength for Life: A varied strength session focusing on stability, core strength and movement. Combining suitable weights, fitballs and other resistance equipment to develop overall strength, conditioning and well-being.
Core for More: A broad exercise session combining global movements and incorporating low impact Pilates style exercises. Suited for beginners to advanced with a strong focus on core stability and body awareness.
Up and Go: A gentle class that focuses on exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, and joint movement. The class combines sitting and standing exercises in a safe and controlled environment.
Muscles for Men: A male exercise session designed to improve strength and fitness in a dynamic and fun environment.
Group Personal Training: A varied group session using all types of equipment depending on our clients’ goals. Get your own group together and share the costs!
A class for people who are on a waiting list for a hip or knee joint replacement, or have recently had a hip or knee replacement. A mixture of strength, balance and stretching, to prepare for the operation and/or to recover from it.
